The Bold & The Beautiful

January 8, 2010  |  Uncategorized

Oh the daily drama of a fashion house–you can call us the Forrester family. Lo had tons of intern interviews today followed by a photoshoot and we all held it down. Boots stomping on the main floor…

–Hold all of my calls, we’re in Who Wants to Work for Phifer mode; the purpose is 16 applicants will try to fight, claw, bleed, and kill for a chance to work with–after watching the background of how Phifer works via LateBoots. We’re not interested in housing an Annie orphanage of interns, we want productive –persistent–publication ready hustlers; marketing, advertising, editorial writers–we even have an art department–all fashion everything. This office is like Sinatra at the opera–bring a blond; preferably with long legs who never dresses wrong. We are not politically correct but round 1 didn’t bring us satisfaction, and I know it’s a recession but these resumes are turning into the Great Depression–your voice is too soft; pull your skirt back down and speak up son–aggression. Keep your Rosetta Stone sets–we got our own linguists. Remember I’m one of the few “bloggers” who’s  writing his own history without a pen, keep it 100. Round 2 starts Monday and Gossip Boy Kenneth Mckoy will be in house–why is no one ready–ready?

But we do smile & take lunch breaks, and Lo has a new look. She abandoned the black and went short blond. We also need an office manager, cause someone has to be in charge of taking these pics!lo

When I walk in the room I ask that you sell yourself in 3 minutes or less–cause that’s how long it takes for me to make a decision. The rest is just for our entertainment. Intense–yes, I just wanna be successful moment. But Express is hiring–if that’s the look you’re accustomed to. Hey I don’t judge, I just build. Still accepting applicants, email: him@marquisphifer.com. If your objective is I want you to teach me how to be fabulous, no I need a Marquis Phifer clone, not as pretty and maybe coarse’er hair. It’s a nasty little world.

    Wow! What a site, and a good one at that. I always give kudos to a lot of people who take their job, career and life long goals to pride. But, I always like to keep in mind how everyone is human,and A LOT of us did not just walk into this industry. Rather, you are eduacated or not, the importance is respect and knowledge. I commend people who know their stuff, and is dedicated to their craft. Interviewing candidates should not be FOR FUN, but for testing your own knowledge, some candidates may surprise you! Some have strong feedback, some just listen and let you antagonize them to the bone. In this industry a Fierce candidate, who can promise to get the job done should be in your eyes. Having someone STRONG!!!!!! Is key! Just a quick note.

    @JR,

    I second that. You guys are doing your thing, but please don’t lose humility in the process. It is a dirty world, but it only takes a village to make a difference. :)

    @JR & @JOE

    I completely agree. I LOVE LOVE Lateboots, Sham and Marquis have been an inspiration to me for the past two years, and I commend their work ethic and accomplishments, but I just hope they are able to stay as humble as they were in the beginning and keep GOD first. But, maybe that’s just me.

    Pull out the violin, please don’t think that you guys know our morals or ethics from a single post. Like Jay said, IT’S ONLY ENTERTAINMENT.

    Lol, it’s a cruel cruel world. Why do I have the feeling that Phifer is not only enjoying the entertainment but he sure is loving the power.

    People need to go into the interview like it’s their last day to live.

    A lot of thanks for your own hard work on this website. My mother takes pleasure in setting aside time for investigations and it is simple to grasp why. Many of us know all regarding the compelling medium you make invaluable guidelines through your website and as well welcome contribution from some other people on the idea while our girl is actually starting to learn so much. Take pleasure in the rest of the new year. You have been conducting a wonderful job.
