To put it simply, his ensembles are a mere extension of this Brooklyn native’s intense personality. Colin and I went over after work, had some wine, hummus, lamb, and everything that’s not in my diet. One thing I love about New York is how many different restaurants of all cultures are so accessible and authentic. But with this new diet I don’t eat out much at all anymore. Palmyra serves Mediterranean food, which was a first for me. Luckily Colin was familiar, when they brought out the hummus and bread my face turned upside down. “I don’t know what that white stuff is and what am I supposed to do with all of this bread.” Everything was great, compliments to the chef! We didn’t have to pay but the price point was cute and come summer Colin and I are looking into throwing a few brunches there. Colin Thierens is on his way to pinnacle with his camera game. Let’s just say, “I’m easily influenced by the n****s I’m around.”  The way I see it, “Employees shouldn’t hang with EMPLOYEES because it only furthers your career as an EMPLOYEE. Through sometime Colin has caught me on the candid tip–beautiful shoots—some never seen, so I decided to spotlight him and bring a few photos to the light. You can check out more of Colin’s work daily on The BKc blog. He is one of the only photographers that I know will catch me in the right lighting. I’ve seen photos where I didn’t think I made that face or had me taking a double look to see if it was me. He makes me look good.
