I got a blog so big like the sun; Trina is about to shove this post down your throat and make you run–we keep telling yall that LateBoots is about the hustle; whistle while you work. Mirror mirror on the wall–who’s the hardest hustler of them all: The Trina x LateBoots is a Hot Commodity….

Hustla; someone skilled at turning a profit no matter what the enterprise: that’s us. Now, you already know Trina has been the speaker through my speakers; Told Yall, Nasty Bitch, How We Do?, Hustling, Hot Commodity, Look Back At Me. So when I got the call that she was in town and wanted to do an interview with LateBoots I sent out the team to interview Mrs. Green. But you might be surprised because our questions were not about fashion or female rapper beefs, I could careless, we asked about her hustle.

Details:
Location – Secluded loft downtown. Really nice and modern on the inside.
Vibe – Pretty chill. A mixture of mostly DJ’s, a few bloggers, and some Trina fans.
Food – a platter of wings and what not. Drinks.
Sidenote: You had a LateBoots fan! The guy with the curly fro and glasses introduced himself and told us how much he loved your site. He inquired about internship positions.
Trina arrives – Comes with her goons on deck! You can see them lurking in the background of most of the pictures, smh. Everybody was kinda stuck on stupid for a second, especially the dudes. Jaws were dropped like “wowwww” lol
Funny moments: Richard’s ass really should have taken up photography, the way he was getting Trina in her zone to snap a couple flicks: “Werkkkk!” “I need you to sell it mama!” “Give me Fashion – yessssss!” He’s a fool and she could not stop laughing – you’ll see it in one of the pics.

LB: So, at what point did you know that you were the baddest bitch?
Trina: [laughing] I think when I just started realizing who I was and understanding the woman I was. Just a girl going into the woman and being strong and knowing that I had that power to be focused and determined and know what I wanted out of life. That’s what determined me to have that title. And, I think that’s what keeps you grounded in this business – you gotta know exactly what it is that you want.

LB: How would you define the word “hustle”, and what does it mean to you?
Trina: Grind hard. Every day. 24-7. Non-stop.
LB: What keeps you focused on your hustle?
Trina: What keeps me focused? Hmmmm… [looks away, smiling] Happiness.
LB: We hear you’re working on putting together a new girl group. Can you tell us a little bit about “Pretty Money”?
Trina: The girl group – the movement. It’s Pretty Money. It’s just a variety of different girls. It’s R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, and it’s just crazy! They’re vibrant, they’re energetic, and it’s a whole new flavor and a new sound. It’s a new wave of women, so I’m really proud to actually be able to bring them out. So you’re gonna be hearing a lot from them soon; we’ll work on the first mixtape, and put out a record in the summer.
LB: Anything else you want the LateBoots readers to know about Miss Trina?
Trina: Get the album [Amazin’] – May 4th – it’s crazy!
