Before the Style network and Bravo were giving us endless reality shows on style, fashion, and production there was Elsa Klensch. She’s the answer to “Where my ladies up in there that like to talk back?”–old school hustler…
And her resume—boss lady status. You only need to hear five to understand her hustle. Lets see where do I start? She had all your favorites’ favorite: Women’ s Wear Daily, Vogue, W magazine, and Harper’s Bazaar. FYI all positions were titled with “editor” behind it (wink). Then right after her warm-up lap with the fashion industry she joined CNN in NYc to launch ‘Style with Elsa Klensch’ in 1980, which ran til 2001. The half an hour show essentially did for fashion what music videos did for music. ‘Style with Elsa’ aired every Saturday and featured interviews with every icon of the fashion world, behind the scenes of fashion and runway shows.
Unfortunately, I never caught the show. Although during it’s time Elsa not only rated highly with the obvious female viewers tuning in weekly but also pulled a large male following. Behind the scene taping of shows and racy outfits with barely any fabric, the show brought nudity to Saturday morning TV–out with the cartoons honey and in with style.

Lol, “out with the cartoons honey and in with style”…
all i have to say is come on fashion from the 80′s! woo, they were a fool lol.
funny. i just spoke her up 2 weeks ago. i used to watch that show, cnn needs to run that back.
