How Often Do You Reid

January 26, 2010  |  Kodak Moment

Like it or not, like him or not–Aaron Reid is legacy. All of our favorite pop stars are locked in his Blackberry, oh Aaron can I please dial Rihanna’s number? I promise I won’t say nothing, I just wanna hear her say ello!…

Do I have to give you his back story? ; LA Reid is Aaron’s pops–he drafted and published most of the relevant artist around. Google him for all of his accolades.

Today was all black, no I am not a Reid or a Carter but got damn I am seeking legend status! And as I was walking from my shopping trip at the Morehouse bookstore I ran into Aaron trying to negotiate a price between a barber and his clippers–at our on campus barbershop. Ofcourse me being me I interrupted and said “nigg* you can buy this whole barbershop, just pay homeboy his regular price”–we laughed. Aaron and I have been really good friends for a minute now, and I decided to get some advice. Im seeking a new position and I want to brand/rep/ artist. I have my eye on one and we meet at my office on Wednesday to discuss. Oh don’t act like you can’t see it, I want the Marquis Phifer brand involved in everything that I represent. And let’s face it, I know good shit–and music–and that’s the best way to market anything–when it’s actually good. Mark my words I will do business with Jay-Z and I’m letting you hear it first. I don’t pose in pictures with the famous unless I know what my aim is. You’ve already seen how the ink keeps dripping on my blueprint; click here to visit my Rocawear office experience. Right now I’m working on getting these tickets to see Shawn’s Carter inauguration into Atlanta on February 27th (tickets for Blueprint 3 tour); it’s in my ancestry.

I love how your style isn’t just one look; Ralph Lauren. You’re giving me soho white boy casual rock. I love it Phifer. And as much Jay-z veres you use in your post they should send you backstage passes!

Just recently started reading your blog via ‘Juneuary’ (adore her).

I LOVE your drive (ie. Working with Jay-Z) and it’s great seeing fellow college students trying to do big things rather than be some celebrity groupie. F*$# a celeb — I want to work with YOU one day!! When do you graduate? Let’s make it happen :)

PS. Speak those dreams into existence boo!
