A Big Deal

Please Don’t Shoot Me Down

Before we go overseas with this Art is Life movement, we had to give an encore.  I feel like we’re recording our sophomore album. I have to give you that feeling of the first but better than the first. The sophomore slump is an uphill battle…

For those of you who are not familiar with Art is Life, it’s a global creative platform dedicated to enrich its audience through cultural exhibits and mixed media programs. Our next project will be coming soon…real soon. Click here for a flashback of our first show.

“If you can make it in New York , you can make it anywhere” , whoever said that was right. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that every step felt like 100 pounds around my ankles. But I’ma hustle round the clock, and if my leg broke I will hop.  This city has turned this southern bell into a rotten apple. I still keep my cool and use my manners, but it isn’t easy for us boss ladies. All this mess only made me stronger. I try to live by this line: There are three values: feel good, be good, and do good. But when I step into these streets all I hear is Lil Wayne in my ear saying, “Ima pick the world up then Ima drop it on your f***ing head!” Aye, I’m just keeping it real. For all my young entrepreneurs out there, I know you feel me. I’m a student to curating but wisdom becomes knowledge when it is personal experience–and I live it.
