(Jay-Z Laugh)

August 1, 2010  |  A Big Deal

July has been Sweet to the kid; two Jay-Z run ins, and now I’m doing business like I’m white–but I’m not; I’m just bright. My game plan: uh, ball harder than me? Not in my house. Yall not in my league, so when I come in the meeting get them out of my seat…

Let’s talk business. Yes?

Ahh, cat got your tongue.

Friday, I had my second meeting at the Rocawear Head Quarters, you do remember what happened on July 13th no? (Jay-Z Laugh), well I tweeted that, and if you missed it you gotta start following my lead @marquisphifer. And after our lunch meeting, Roc Nation granted Phifer a little camera time, but I can’t talk too much cause I’m being watched. You know big businesses.

Jay is always building; turned a Roc into some buildings

Met with Aleesha of the Roc, and she loved my latest pitch. Yes this means I’ll be working close with Rocawear/Roc Nation.

I mean, like you know, at this point, what more can I say. Like, how do I even respond to other shit. Like, really.

Ya know i was following @MarquisPhifer. And when Mrquis came to my city New Orleans i saw him. At the Heineken party where Swizz Beats was performing. And i watched @MarquisPhifer tweet how he was ON STAGE with Swizz Beatz when he wasn’t. Made me realize that @MarquisPhifer doesn’t always tell the truth and tends to exaggerate his lifestyle. Humble yourself. You “seem” as though your making great strides to success. You wouldnt want someone to expose you though…don’t think we forgot what happened with Terry Thierry sir. We remember. Don’t you forget.

I smell the horrid odor of jealousy. Who cares whether its fiction or non-fiction? I don’t and I’m sure other don’t either. This is a blog of two people and their social and business life. Who care what they are actually doing, its just refreshing to see people who high expectations of themselves and is on the grand hustle wanting to broadcast their lifes for all to see. Calm down and have fun, you acting silly like a 5 year old throwing a temper tantrum in the grocery store. Its not that serious. Just sit back and enjoy the show. As for Terry Thierry, child, that was a horrible comprasion, Marquis Phifer deserves a little more respect then that. That was a major hit below the belt, seriously uncalled for.

so i say this as a innocent bystander and loyal lateboots stan, who doesn’t really know the details of phifer’s social life. it seems to me that, the bigger phifer’s success becomes and the more recognition he gets, the more haters he seems to breed. i remember when lateboots.com was just a little blogspot shin dig. the haters were QUIET. take a couple pics in the rocawear office and POW… its raining hate. i mean, theres room for everybody. let him have his cake, and you can have yours. but do realize when you hate, you only make yourself an outsider, an outsider whos looking in on the ppl who are actually making shit happen. that is all.

I’m new to LB, but what is a Terry Thierry? I Googled and nothing came up? And wow for this DIOR MILAN to bring that up. These fans are getting petty the more a nigga moves up. I was actually around Mr. Phifer in NOLA and he was backstage with Swiss, truth be told. So I’m sure he meant backstage vs on stage. It’s like pronouncing “tomato” or “tomato”, right, no difference. Either way, you were watching him? That’s influence and POWER. This guy Phifer is a beast, I heard but had no idea till now. You got fans kid. Fans like those heavy hitters. These kats in the streets wanna be you. Truth be told. But like my man said, “I mean, like you know, at this point, what more can I say. Like, how do I even respond to other shit. Like, really.”

I love how these people are writing paragraphs about Phifer, as Phifer writes foot notes! Lol, I love this guy. People are not mad at you Phifer, its their situation they’re pissed at. By taking it out on the obvious they feel like they’ve brought you down to their level. But I don’t get it, cause this blog is not about just throwing words around, the pics are included!! You were not on stage Phifer, you were backstage in the room, shame on Dior for even making that a topic for conversation. Congrats Phif, Streets is Watching #Jay-Z.

DIOR MILAN, hailing from New Orleans Louisiana?? LOL, now that’s an exaggeration!
NEITHER DIOR NOR IS MILAN ORIGINATED FROM LOUISIANA.

Exaggerate his lifestyle? As he travels to multiple cities WORKING as you reside and live in New Orleans?

Stop. You sound country, and stuck.

    Open letter to DIOR MILAN,

Marquis works for the company that was over the event you attended. You were the guest. He threw the party. Learn the game.

Ps. Yes that blazer is snatched!

Phifer, I always hold my tongue, but I’m having a problem. How is it that these people will say “I was”, “I am” a fan, yet they don’t just come and state their opinion and exit, they tend to be merely down right offensive and disrespectful. Just as some don’t like Kanye, that’s fine. But to think you can go on his blog and disrespect him–and say the most uncalled for things baffles me. You don’t continue to come to peoples house to tell them you don’t like their decor. And if so, you should be thrown out and banned from returning again.

people people…..stop it!…it seems like people can never truly say how they feel about a situation or someone today without being designated a “HATER”…If i am at a show watching a performer and you tell me you were on stage with that performer and i didn’t see you why would i think your telling me the truth? why would I just assume “OH” he meant backstage…like really though. On stage is completely different from backstage . Just because your a fan of someone doesn’t mean you can’t disagree with a statement they said. I am sure Phifer will be the first to tell you that. enough said

    ACEONBASE….

Hmmmm nice attempt, but it’s one thing to have an opinion, and then there’s another to be disrespectful. Please know the difference. And “hating” is cliche, but it’s something that burns inside these people that makes them frustrated for a lack of a word. I think it’s Phifers confidence and fuck you attitude. But I think its sad that you, and a few others are actually commenting on if someone was on, off, the side of or back of a stage.

It really shows your/their thought process. This post was about Jay-Z and a meeting at Rocawear, yet New Orleans from what, last month gets thrown into the mix? If he wanted to leave an opinion, then lets talk about the subject: ROCAWEAR office.

    What’s your opinion?

And how do you have an opinion on someone being backstage or onstage? Can you even have one…at this point, it sounds like hate. Even if someone has a semi valid point, Phifer has built an armor of witty, catty, and self-made humor, and I don’t think anyone can take it off, or bring it down. You check this blog for the same reasons as most; the affair between the love and hate you have for Phifer, and that’s cool. But don’t act like all these “opinions” are actually “opinions”–cause remember that hate is still involved in the affair.

I am a recent Late Boots viewer… actually I saw it a while back, and then a few months ago and then well yesterday and again today. Lovely set up… BUT

The reason I came back today is because of these comments hunni! The kids came OWT for Jay Z and Marquis isn’t paying you no mind… I would suggest that whomever is interested in bringing Marquis out move themselves from behind the computer. I mean if I understand correctly, you were viewing from the audience… some where in the masses. You were a commoner hunni so you don’t understand what goes on behind closed doors where Marquis holds court. You don’t know who was there nor what happened and as long as you sit behind your computer responding to posts and commenting away… well you never will know darling… but it’s just my opinion.

    Ciao.
