“Don’t Borrow Money: Once again, Frank Gehry’s advice. By maintaining financial control, we maintain creative control. Its not exactly rocket science, but its surprising how hard it is to maintain this discipline, how many have failed…”
* quote above from Life Style Bruce Mau–An Incomplete Manifesto for Growth
Written in 1998, The Incomplete Manifesto is an articulation of statements exemplifying Bruce Mau’s beliefs, strategies and motivations. Collectively, they are how we approach every project.
So many of my generation are looking for investors to complete their dreams. Why not do it yourself and owe no one? Invest in yourself and read more–buy books. We fail to recognize the possibilities within, how easy it is to research any of our dreams with the click of a button. Make your own movie and edit it. And if reading books is too flintstones for you then look up tutorials on youtube or google for anything from how to learn photoshop to building your own website–just do it yourself. We are overwhelmingly more independent then we’ve ever been capable of in the past. Now double ya money and make a stack.
