Green Eggs & Ham

January 6, 2010  |  Foodie

Only a few days after New Years and I’m already breaking my resolution. I’m a southern girl, sometimes I just can’t go long without a big country breakfast–just like Big Mama. Although I hate going out in the cold, Hope & Anchor around the corner from my spot does the job every time…

Brooklyn is as close to home as I can get for now. The on going craziness in Manhattan I can seriously live without. It feels so good to sit down and have the waiter say, “Honey, can I get you something to drink?” or “You doing alright, Suga?” They even had an American flag up on the wall. I say that because I’ve been to some places in New York where I thought I just added a stamp to my passport. Don’t you hate it when you feel uncomfortable if your waiter can’t understand you and you’re speaking English right in the middle of New York City? Its the worst!

But anywho, H&A has never failed me. Just good ole traditional American food, service with a smile, and inexpensive prices. Its all about the simple things in life.anchor3anchor5
It’s a wrap–clean plate. Not let me tilt my hat and leave before I regret this all happened.anchor8

Shika i just had a good biscuit this morning but a real southern one at the LongStreet Cafe,.,., U probably remember the good taste. The only thing is that you never see a fashionable lady like you in that spot. The only thing thay you see is long johns and the typical AFF.
