Fame Circus

January 15, 2010  |  Stuntastic Moments

Friday 7:23 am, Lo and I got 5 hours of sleep, and while most students are fighting with their snooze button, we’re up shooting for Essence. Classes start at 11 am, emails I have yet to check, and an interview for Vibe magazine…

Now I haven’t done enough research to determine if sleeping is for losers, and to be honest I don’t wanna call sleepers out of their names. But all I know is that I checked my schedule and I’m not free for coffee until March. I’ve been driving so fast and even though my service brakes light comes on, I can’t seem to slow down. It’s like drag racing; Faster. Faster. Faster. We feel like a traveling circus and Lo has been the ride or die all week. We have our moments where she’s tired and I’m pushing: If you want it, it’ ain’t gonna be easy. If you wanna be regular then focus on doing regular things. But this shit right here ain’t regular. Watch us flex: preparation meets opportunity. Saturday mornings use to be my recovery day, but I have other clients to tend to. Sunday is saved for one man. But then back to Monday; no mans land.

The final images were sent to Essence at noon. It was a pretty good day.

Damn, whenever I’m not working I’m peeping this blog out.lol.

Again I’m constantly intrigued by the focus, work ethic, and tenacity of you guys. And showing pictures of beautiful, hustle bound, fashionable black women doesn’t hurt either!
