Marquis Phifer is such a natural entertainer – such a charismatic and effortlessly appealing brand strategist, dj and showman – that it’s easy to ignore how weirdly, how willfully, he’s gone about his career. Underground DJ/producer A.Chal has been of mystique throughout his music career. An obscure figure far from hubris, he plays the background while letting the music speak volumes.
