In the words of Uncle Jay “If you escaped what I’ve escaped you’d be in Paris getting fu**ed up too,”–so this shouldn’t come as shocking news: Kanye West is LateBoots Front Page News. And for those who are light travelers grab some wine and chocolates as West entertains your fashion palette–but not by ear this time–by sight. By all means he has seen and lived; you are now watching the long-awaited, wildly hyped Kanye West fashion show–all the showroom kids knew October 1st as the date in which Kanye would be debuting his women’s collection ‘Kanye West‘–Who Run The World? (Girls)–I do adore–something tells me that was the vibe of this ‘boy don’t even try to touch this‘ runway show–Who Gon Stop Me?

‘Kanye West ‘DW collection evokes “luxe lives”–each look becomes its own storyteller. These clothes are made for Rollses and Maybachs and Gulfstream jets, five-star hotels and Audemars Piguet watches.

Looking like Clueless 2012! There is one thing that I value; conservatism, and J.Crew Spring 2012 delivers that and does it in COLOR! For me, it’s so exciting to see ‘prep’ taken to a whole new class. Wide pant leg, pops of vibrant shades, I’m not sure how you live–mic check; my mic sounds nice. Check one: I am dying at this Women’s collection. And with my whole being I support the creative minds behind these garments, and it is a must that it becomes available in Men’s sizes too! J.Crew, you win.

Culture Curator: Leo Velasquez Debuts Evident Future

Starting his career off as a barber, Leo Velasquez officially adds designer to the list of many talents. Debuting his first collection ‘Evident Future’ this Fashion Week, Leo displays a futuristic men’s presentation at Loft 33. Also know as ‘LV The Stylist’, Velasquez is the image consultant to recording artist Miguel and also styled Usher’s “OMG” Tour. We all saw a preview of Evident Future with Usher’s performance on the 2010 VMA’s last year. His list of clients also include NBA star Lamar Odom and G.O.O.D Music artist Kid Cudi. The future is evident for spring/summer 2012.

The tents at Bryant Park were cool — of course they will always be missed. But the Lincoln Center? I ascended the stairs to grand architecture unrivaled by large, white canopies. The Lincoln Center makes the most sense, its modern and accommodating. There is also rumor for LC to house fashion related events year round..

Yes that’s 1, 2, 3 rows centered in front of me. For those who come to the tents, you know all about that middle section. And little ole me was in it. I have great people working with me and they sit right beside me–J Dot PR LET’s GO!

Hold your head up Bryan, say cheese! These are the times of our lives. I’m just a southern girl from Georgia. I don’t use these things to boast but I know I work hard and sacrifice a lot. I’m emotionless and hug my work. Some say it wont keep you warm at night but I’m steaming hot. These shows are entertainment and work for me. And fourth row centered at all day feels good. Don’t clap yet I have a long way to go..

Although all the flashing lights never die at the tents, we still have to go outside of Bryant Park to support new designers. Designer Ugo Mozie and Quinn Aston of Aston Mozie showed for the first time along side with Coco and Brezzy…

About Aston Mozie
New York At age 10 Ugo Mozie was discovered while eating lunch at his Englewood elementary school cafeteria and booked his first major gig with Sean Jean at the age of 14. In December 2008, at the age of 17, he partnered with then, 17 year old Quinn Aston to form Aston Mozie’. They both graduated from the same high school early and moved to New York. He quickly became friendly with influential people in the music and fashion industry such as Kelis, Legendary Damon, and Estelle. Ugo’s designs have been seen on celebrities such as Dawn Richards, Dirty Money, Tristan Wilds, Jermaine Crawford, and Dorian Standberry. Ugo’s motto is “It’s me who I look up to…. It’s me who I compare myself to; it’s me who I am influenced by”.

About Coco and Breezy
Coco and Breezy are 19 year old identical twin accessory designers from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Coming from a city not known for its contributions to the fashion world, the twins accidentally fell into designing. After being outcasts for years growing up, they began to rock store bought shades to block themselves from taunting peers. On a whim, they decided to create their own custom eye wear, which created an overnight uproar and Gemela Amor by Coco and Breezy was born.
