I like to play characters; one minute you think I’m into you–the next 15 minutes one coming. Batman vs. The Joker–have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight? I’m heroic at times but I got my other side; I like to play cards: we need a resolution. Stop watching and let’s go. I be at these events–on top of the bar hosting. Say hello: where is my Vicki Vale–how about you look in the mirror, no go right now, lick your lips, think about your best garments, try them on. No forreal, try. Get one of these Vegas chips and come play with me. Yeah live like one of those concert series. Agnes Scott is the place. And I’ll be making all kinds of faces.

I accept flower baskets. And while most people want a car for graduation; well I want an empire. I wanna be one of the sponsors at my expected 2011 departure ceremony at Morehouse College. Maybe a few flyer’s of my face around campus and segmented commercials saying visit www.LateBoots.com. I’ll be real with you and confess that time management is my worst subject; I haven’t forgotten that I have classes, but when the lights come on Marquis Phifer gets turned ON. Once we hit it off we need to just take a trip to Vegas. You no like to gamble? I do. Last Sunday myself and the Dormtainment guys filmed a commercial for the Vegas themed party we’re hosting for Agnes Scott April 10th; shots of Patron.

So the treatment for the commercial went like this:

Synopsis: The Dormtainment guys are prepping their outfits for the Vegas event and cant quite get it together. One of the guys mentions Phife. Marquis inspires the missing link for each DT character’s ensemble for the night.

Outline:
- All 6 DT guys standing in the mirror, adjusting their outfits.
- Everyone comments in their own way:
-”Something isn’t quite right.”
-”Phifer would have us right for this event.”

*Cut / Phifer posing in full on evening wear (no dialogue). He taps his own oxford
- This process will continue for each character but for a different article of clothing/accessory.

* Final Shot »
- Guys enter room, dressed to perfection, drinks in hand.
- Fade to black → Event stamp Appears → Quintessential
Vegas music plays → ticket call to action, fade to black,

END

My first party in Twenty Ten and I want it all; boys can have sponsors too, let me get Suzie on the line: My Hi On Campus event and Jay-Z‘s concert on the same day–February 27th; Levert x Kreemo x Affairs of Isis x LateBoots sad that I’ll be arriving late to my own party; throws up ROC SIGN. Mr. Carter; Why do you think I purchased the ALL BLACK TIMBERLAND BOOTS! I can hit two events at once–ahh the smell of sneakers. Confession: I’ve always wanted to work at Footlocker when I was a young boy, those coach stripes always did something to me. I traded in my slipper for a boot.

When I was younger my cousins use to call “front seat” with a sharpness and felt like they was stunting, I always called “back seat” because I felt like the driver was working for me. Picture this: car smell full of perfume jammin to old school prior to event crashing. SWV “I’m So Into You”…there you go, you’re tellin me that you love me… I’ll trade in a 2010 track for a 1990′s anyday. Like seriously. But as most do, we all were on the text: who’s driving, ok we’re outside waiting. The pick up: Lo, Brooke, Lyndsey, and me Mr. Popular.

We were heading to an event that one of the interns, Camereon Kirkland was apart of; although our conversations in the office are minimal (I’m not looking for new friends) Kirkland’s name gets heavy rotation in the streets; always hosting or promoting a party. i Like. But let me keep it 100 with you LateBoots, now you know my girls and I tip into events like a parade; MACY’S!–but we walked in like what the hell? We saw chicks with tiger suits on–face and tails attached hanging from the ceiling and guest gettin tatted up in the back by ATL Tattoo artist Angel. It was an event called Pose Atlanta; POSE Atlanta is a photography, fashion-inspired networking event for trendy young professionals to mix, mingle and unwind. The event has blossomed into a haven for individuals who are craving something tangible and beyond the typical club scene. And with that being said, we even saw 1997 Lil Kim in there too:

And then I ran into Jordan, you know the stylish intern of the month, and he had something in his hand. Boy Im’a tell yo momma.

Ahhhh not so sexy when you have a budget, so I called the rest to take the test. I’ll have to introduce you to my 3 best friends; Chindo, Chelsea and Richard. We spent all day on location and came across a few lofts for the February 27th party.

I can switch your dress code—change your life like presto! Isn’t that what you want?

But we ain’t about to type our whole lives on a blog though, cause when we tell it you’ll be like “that explains everything“. Just ask Sham; the black Edie Sedgwick–Andy was like “it’s all yours“.

So you ask what the Gentri-PHI-cation Project is? It’s making it across town with a little gas. Using what you already have to get what you want. It’s like bypassing the safari to get to Africa. Fortunately for me I can’t bottle up a Marquis Phifer to sell like a fragrance, but I can give you those little free samples and travel bags. I know when we first met in ’07 you wanted to keep your swag so you was holding back, but after I landed in your homes, work cubicles, and classrooms your questions I will finally answer; learn how to flip your money three ways, ride big on the freeway and even how to maintain your caesar deep waves–skin, hair–all face everything. Don’t be mistaken, even photoshop couldn’t change me, cause I never gave a fidduuck, abiddout the widday. Im not trying to make you perfect but at least when you take a picture you could give face ( I’m so hard; so hard, so hard, so hard ). I don’t do rock–and all of  us are not meant to be stars but I can teach you how to be real; you can say who you are–everybody wants to be a Doctor at the bar.
