Gaulart et Maliclet - Fast and French; a casual French restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Check with your server for weekly specials if you’re a newcomer. The best seat is front of house–bar style. It doesn’t differ much from the rest of the cafe’s high table communal seating, similar to diner counters but with escargot on the menu. Meals include your beverage from iced tea to french house wine. I chose the lunch special of the day: pesto pasta with goat cheese and a side of melon. My lunch date ordered the hot turkey and brie croissant. With great vegetarian plates and affordable prices, Fast and French is a local gem in the historic district of Charleston, SC.

Confession: This was my second attempt at Fast and French. The first smacked me in the face with a 20 minute wait in dreadful heat. As I left, an elderly passerby commented that it was the best spot in town, then tried her luck and placed a reservation. After Florida, I couldn’t resist giving it another try. –>Inside Story
Beach bod ready with vegetable medlies? Yes. I’m not known to carry conversations in the kitchen. But after seeing André Leon Talley make ‘Regal Baroque’ cake frosting swirls with Martha Stewart, I figured I’d give it a try. Now weekly trips to the farmer’s market for fresh locally grown produce has become a reaccurring theme. In most cases, fewer Americans meet their fruit or vegetable intake. I fancy the hell out of this picture, please Mr. Talley speak at my college commencement–with the sequin in hand! The first thing that comes to mind is: Werk. This is like a lunch date with ALT and Martha Stewart; my two favorite people. Excitement: Party Ideas with Andre Leon! This is a must see and eat. Andre Leon Talley on life’s two most important “F”s: Food and Fashion! Fashion favorites and coconut cake with Andre Leon Talley, animal-shaped blowouts from author Matthew Van Fleet, and a cupcake stand how-to.

I Got Five On It–save your money for some Summer Time Throw Away Money–Los Angeles I will be; hold me high nautical blouse sneakers no tie. See, I like my crew, and if you can hang we can be friends too. Just say the words. But first, drop your purse and wave your five dollar bill in the air—alright alright. Before I continue, I did wear the fun police lights like some jewels, I did not partake in any of the Last Supper style patio dining that took place. Ask the waiter.
With a Happy Hour Menu that turns the regular menu into a has been–because buying anything regular price is a has been. Happy Hour Menu was quite impressive; featuring wine, hot sake, and a variety of rolls and appetizers. From the menu my crew ordered: Lobster Spring Rolls, Spicy Sesame Chicken Wings, Tuna Rolls, “RA”ckin’ Shrimp, and Hot Sake.

Pull yo Benz out and just swerve on them–you bought it. Ok, my last name isn’t Banks but I still asked daddy for $500–and it wasn’t for a hat. Come go with me; I make you feel good–and first things first, we are boutique resturant hoppers–4 to a car. I promise you we are not rich kids, but let’s have humble pie for starters? Dressed like a true man of etiquette, we rolled in at Parks Edge restaurant around 2:40 and were seated on the patio (the owner is a Morehouse College alum). In the beginning, we ordered their infamous bottomless mimosas (in case you were wondering, getting ****y at brunch is the most classy thing to do).
I ordered the veggie omelette and the rest is a canvas of carbs and powder dusted fruit. Our entrées were preceded by biscuits and delicious fruity jam. The portions were huge and we finished about 4 of our carafe of mimosas, they were actually closing as we were sipping but the staff in no way urged us out. Parks Edge has so much sexiness. –>Inside Story
Treadmill speed at infinity and beyond–moving toward you at a fast pace with some bite sized cheesecakes. After working with the guys behind BITEME, they saw fit that I connect the dots to your mouth. Something like a brand ambassador, bringing on the cool like magic — Ta-da! Oprah once said, “I’ve always believed that everything is better when you share it” — and my feelings are mutual. After curfew, the crew at apartment #3R took a taste test ending in 10′s across the board followed by me gusta.
“BITEME CHEESECAKES evolved through Michigan native co-founders, Tyreece Johnson and Justice Hall. Tyreece a culinary artist and graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education and Justice Hall, an art director in the apparel industry and graduate of C.C.A.D both shared a love for exploring new foods. One day after passing several cupcake shops, they felt the dessert scene lacked creativity. While enjoying Ty’s “one-of-a-kind cheesecakes” they had an epiphany to create an innovative twist on the American classic dessert.”
+ I felt like Santa waiting til the coast was clear–dropping off gifts in the night. Pow! Right in the kisser…
