A film by Harrison Boyce and Nathan Brown of Boyce & Brown, London performing Marvin Gaye’s “Purple Snowflakes” for New York Times Magazine. “Picking a holiday song is harder than people think,” explains the Trinidad-born, Brooklyn-based rapper Theophilus London. “If you’re not going to write your own modern classic like George Michael or Run DMC, you have to cover something a lot of people don’t know.” The original is really stripped down and trippy,” says London, “so it inspired me to make my own weird version.” Pictured (from left): Elijah Austin, Omar Grant, Theophilus London, Aja Grant. –>Inside Story

The twin duo, Dee & Ricky release their collaboration with Pony, in which they present the “Urban Jungle” Capsule Collection — A high-top and low-pro sneaker complete the collection. The black high top features a colorful cheetah print lining with blue, red, and yellow glossy eyelets. Including inter-changeable velcro letters to create a funky phrase of choice. The Low-Pro takes a similar approach with the cheetah print, but on the outer design and peanut butter insides for lining. Below Dee and Ricky answer questions about the project on location in parisian shop Colette.

Frank Ocean for L’Uomo Vogue Magazine
Frank Ocean, an R&B vocalist affiliated with the outlandish hip-hop crew Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, was selected GQ’s “Rookie Of The Year.” In this interview he talks about what he learned from KanYe & Jay-Z, Tyler’s Goblin making him happy, Adele’s 21 album, his Hobbies, his favorite color, his everyday life. Ocean on politics: “My generation just doesn’t have the best taste in leadership. And weak leadership means little to no cohesion. If there’s no cohesion, there’s no real chance for effective protest or politics. Obviously, looking at Occupy Wall Street, there are a few in our bunch who still give a damn enough to rally and shout. This will change once I’m elected President.”

Once described by Helmut Newton as a “fashion maniac”, Anna Dello Russo is currently the Editor-At-Large and creative consultant for Vogue Japan. Anna spent 18 years at Conde Nast Italia starting as a Fashion Editor at Vogue Italia she went on to become Editor of L’Uomo Vogue from 2000-2006. Anna was born in Bari in Southern Italy, and now lives in Milan. Dello Russo — contrary to popular opinion. Her futuristic works becomes more and more of a painted picture and less and less of a Jak & Jil favorite. She’s got electric boots and a mohair suit. Dello Russo, you’re too dope for those civilians. Don’t agree with my pick? Check out these perfectly over the top looks and swoon. Then you’ll come around. She’s awfully persuasive. I call myself “the vestal of fashion” because for me fashion is a muse and you must seduce her. How? You have to feed the creative fire, so it doesn’t vanish, says Anna. Number 1 on the charts and smash hit to our Top 10 Best Dressed Femme Series – Anna Dello Russo #1 Best Dressed Femme Series. Cheers.

There’s something about A$AP, the rage of the youth. Even my nine year old brother understands you only live once, that’s the motto. Harlem’s “pretty muthafucka” A$AP Rocky, currently on Drake’s Club Paradise Tour along with Kendrick Lamar and Chase N. Cashe. Now that the 3 million dollar deal is in the wind, the crew went over to Funtopia in Queens to shoot it out in a Laser Tag session and had a cipher afterwards. I love a good freestyle, I’ll even take rhyming pre-written lines over a track. The melody was smooth and Rick Owens apparel in the scene. Consider for a moment they’re from 116th and Morningside and build from there. The juxtaposition brings interest. You should take a listen. Inside story for A$AP Mob Freestyle video. –>Inside Story

New York-based fashion design duo Dee & Ricky have lent their trademark retro style for the second time to the G-Shock GA-111DR. This limited edition chronograph perfectly pairs an extra-large analog/digital with the Dee & Ricky design sensibility seen on fashion runways and metropolitan sidewalks worldwide. The design draws on primary colors to mimic the appearance of a toy watch, much like the duo’s signature Lego-based designs, all which pop against the white backdrop. A never-before-seen G-Shock technique combines contrasting LCDs, gear-shaped hands and other parts to create a distinct multidimensional effect exclusive to the GA110DR. To further customize the timepiece, the Dee & Ricky logo appears on the band and the engraved backcase features the Dee & Ricky caricature. Remaining rooted in G-Shock technology, the Dee & Ricky x G-Shock is JIS Class Level I magnetic resistant to protect against the effects of magnetic fields often found in airport metal detectors. Availability begins in November for £150 (approximately $235 USD) via source.

In her early years she sought out innovative fashion by souring vintage and thrift shops. Her passion in using rare vintage to create vistionary style became her ultimate notice, which led to a natural progression into the worlds of art, fashion, and interior design. These opportunities ultimately led to invaluable and lasting friendships with designer Zac Posen and the renowned interior designer Carlos Mota. This is more than confidence, carrying bags she deserves. Jones designs are consistently featured in top fashion publication such as Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, W, WWD, and In Style. Many have inquired about Genevieve’s climb up the social ladder. “It’s more mysterious if people don’t know so much about me other than that I’m black,” says Jones.
