Or call it the Carrie Bradshaw theory. Anyway, R.S.V.P. Yes to celebrity stylist Reno Valentine (far right) linking up with the kid Phifer for Black Beluga moments at the W Hotel 5.27. LB Nocturnal Hours: Lastnight Was Crazy! (The W Hotel)

May 21, 2011  |  After Hour Spots, Creative Experience, Editor's Picks, Model Friday

I’m bringing Sexy Back–I’ve been lifting weights;Stone Cold Steve Austin (I’ve always wanted to say that @MarquisPhifer I just at’ed myself–I’ve always wanted to do that). Next I might walk into the W Hotel with no shoes on; we’re passed the double cheek kisses; going straight for the lips. May I? Look, tell me your dreams and aspirations; what’s your future plans what’s your motivations. They say chivalry is dead; then why is (present tense because I’m the present) everyBody at my hosted gig (whispers: the choice is yours). I want to give a handsome applaud to Wil May & Jarrod Levine who manages my Bright Lights Bigger City moments. Thank you.

+ Prince Charles of NaVier co-authored the night along with Dj DIBIASE–one of the best music composers on the scene–anywhere! Sick. I’m having lunch with him soon; he has great taste. When you think of my friends & I–Black Beluga caviar should pop into your head. Sitting at the table high powered couple style–with my fathers features. –>Inside Story

Chef’s Table: The Banks At Brunch (Parks Edge)

May 9, 2011  |  After Hour Spots, Chef's Table, Editor's Picks, Foodie

Pull yo Benz out and just swerve on them–you bought it. Ok, my last name isn’t Banks but I still asked daddy for $500–and it wasn’t for a hat. Come go with me; I make you feel good–and first things first, we are boutique resturant hoppers–4 to a car. I promise you we are not rich kids, but let’s have humble pie for starters? Dressed like a true man of etiquette, we rolled in at Parks Edge restaurant around 2:40 and were seated on the patio (the owner is a Morehouse College alum). In the beginning, we ordered their infamous bottomless mimosas (in case you were wondering, getting ****y at brunch is the most classy thing to do).I ordered the veggie omelette and the rest is a canvas of carbs and powder dusted fruit. Our entrées were preceded by biscuits and delicious fruity jam. The portions were huge and we finished about 4 of our carafe of mimosas, they were actually closing as we were sipping but the staff in no way urged us out. Parks Edge has so much sexiness. –>Inside Story

Re: Young Boss. Phifer, why you don’t smile? Child Please, your attraction to me is strickly fashion; I feel like a pretty doll in a money shaped box–just another toy I am not. (Gas prices are up) and so are my poked out lips (if your propspective is aligned with my objective let’s talk). Sincere I speak, (Boys Run The World) don’t even try to touch this, cause they talk how I lounge with fine Girls–a long line of family and friends. I’m just playing–I just ask for you to clap for Wil May, another great event was attented at the W Hotel (Whiskey Park).+ My photo with artist Reese and toast to all of the boys who are taking over the World. And to the college grads. –>Inside Story

The Most Golden Beats: Aurum Lounge (Atlanta)

May 4, 2011  |  Add New Contact, After Hour Spots, Editor's Picks

Following a High Falutin, and being apart of the Cool Society, we went to Atlanta’s newest lounge Aurum –to stretch out our dressed up muscles. We had corner seating by the door; the perfect strategic position for both people watching and a painless exit. Dance dance dance! It was so much dramatic disco heat, and we was dancin. Looking like an Egyptian bedroom during the reign of the Pharaohs, housing antique beats and everything was gold. The New York correspondent Sham Shirley, made a surprise land in Atlanta last week: Dearly beloved, we were gathered here today to celebrate–Aurum Lounge, it was gaudy, it was oversized. For starters, the place is decidedly cool, and the crowd seemed surprisingly apt with a sense of style.

At Aurum; Atlanta’s new lounge and speakeasy endowed with amazing decor, friendly service, and blissful ambiance. With posh seating, specialty cocktails, and light bites, Aurum has quickly become the premiere spot for Atlanta’s most discerning sophisticates–fancy, schmancy!
I just found a new place for you to party. Chow, for now.

University & Punk Rock (MJQ Bar Atlanta)

April 10, 2011  |  After Hour Spots, Editor's Picks

We thought it was time for a change–see, we can give the opposite of Boujee too–we dance in the basement–who? Step-step-step-with an intense schedule of rigirous college courses, formed study groups that are less than steller, and pop quizzes that excite us as much as a sale at Marshalls–it’s a must to waste your worries away on Any Given Wednesday. Hands down, MJQ is the chillest, coolest spot in Atlanta, and if you’re looking for a great place to hang out and listen to good music-this is it! It’s hard to find, but it’s well worth it.

MJQ is a cool subterranean nightclub bar for those in the know, located in an old parking garage, it’s a basement room with a centre piece bar focussed on dancing; a second smaller room with deep red walls and soft couches devoted to lounging. Cartoon murals of MJQ regulars add to the down-home local feel, and music runs from house to hip hop and reggae to drum n bass and the wall space is often used for art exhibitions. Welcome to Atlanta’s Best Whole In The Wall.

A Night on the Town: @Superfun Party

April 5, 2011  |  After Hour Spots, Creative Experience, Leadership & Heroic Flutes

If you’re 21+ come here, I got something for your mind. The destination? The New York atSuperfun party of course. You know, your girl’s favorite party. It was a rainy night so my hair laid straight back coupled with thick collars to block the wind. The theme for the night was ‘downtown girls.’ And I was down but a ‘going uptown’ girl that could use a sexy situation– Sebastian took the night off. But let me drop some facts. Take an educated guess on how a night could go with murals of Roman warriors adorning the walls and sex- red everywhere to match my nails…I wanted to feel the beat of the Romans yet my request for grapes fell through; the bottle service though came out on time, as did the crowd. With capacity at 80, we kept it real OG, I mean lowkey. You know, just like I love it.

+ I’m the Marcia Brady of this downtown scene, everyone nose – Aachoo! Aachoo! –>Inside Story

Marquis & Co. At Whiskey Park (W Hotel Atlanta)

April 3, 2011  |  After Hour Spots, Leadership & Heroic Flutes, Model Friday

You can Spot me everywhere–I am Dalmatian named Summer; I’ll get to it later cause I’m playing with my Spring dreams–they come to life like Jumanji (the sound of tribal drums is heard as Phifer rides away). Me slowing down is not an option, the instructions say things will return to normal once I’m done, so they continue. A few days ago Friday my small circle and I hit up the W Hotel–no invite sent I took the weekend off. I am connected so I linked up with my boys Jarrod Levine and Wil May–and if Kim was an option I’d be a Kardashian–I just made a power move so until then I’ll play possum with a smile on my face, and bring you cheer and save you from the blues. Behind the ropes you’ll find Marquis Phifer & Co. no Tiffany–who me not you oh yes who’s she?+ Another Friday celebrated at the W Hotel Whiskey Park with my Calvin Klein sliver blazer on (I’m chillin chillin chillin I’m just chillin chillin).

@SUPERFUNPARTY (NYC Edition)

March 28, 2011  |  After Hour Spots, Creative Experience

Chicago brought a new turn to the Thursday night scene in Nolita. And it’s called “@superfun”– A movement of creative individuals that believes the foundation to promoting any great idea is the fundamental desire to have fun. Starting in Chicago Wednesday nights at Jbar, now making their debut with XIX weekly in New York. DJ Mano controlled the mood. His set? Dumb. #KellyBundy. Let me play with your senses. No Doubt-Just A Girl and N.E.R.D- Tape You coming out loud from the speakers. You know the songs you really like. Are you seeing sounds yet? My visions were golden. We took the floor before the night was over. I felt tall–blame it on the boot cut plus the tunes in his serato.

+Vashtie, Mark Moran , Curtains, Sky Galletly, recording artist Miguel, and Ferris Bueller were in attendance. Here’s who I caught on camera… –>Inside Story
