Photography by Othello Grey

The truest of the truant. Penelope Moon is the creative muse of Othello Grey. Grey is the Managing Editor and Design Director of Art of Re-use — a traveling pop-up thrit boutique that prices found pieces $50 and under with a limit of three items per customer. “The initiative is re-inventing thrift shopping and the connotation it comes with, whether that be negative or positive. In 6 month durations, we assemble a team of tastemakers, merchandisers and designers to play a role in building our pop-up thrift shop that lasts for a few memorable hours.” Visit http://www.penelopemoon.blogspot.com/ to enjoy more photography by Othello Grey.

A.CHAL – Roses on Your Silhouette. Underground DJ/producer A.Chal has been of mystique throughout his music career. An obscure figure far from hubris, he plays the background while letting the music speak volumes. That said, his role as a music producer has garnered high praise amongst his peers, more recently with fashion house Ralph Lauren where he’s been active as music director in past campaigns. Today, he shares with us an embodiment of all things experienced formed into one “video single” to give viewers an added effect. via source

The twin duo, Dee & Ricky release their collaboration with Pony, in which they present the “Urban Jungle” Capsule Collection — A high-top and low-pro sneaker complete the collection. The black high top features a colorful cheetah print lining with blue, red, and yellow glossy eyelets. Including inter-changeable velcro letters to create a funky phrase of choice. The Low-Pro takes a similar approach with the cheetah print, but on the outer design and peanut butter insides for lining. Below Dee and Ricky answer questions about the project on location in parisian shop Colette.

Singer-songwriter Ronnie “Ro” James releases the official music video for his Radiohead cover of “Creep”. The clip was directed by Antonie M. Gamboa and produced by Cass Maya. When asked what separates him from the next talented male vocalist, “They don’t feel like I feel when I perform. I feel that it is my duty to reacquaint the world with music and what its mission is. Music is made to teach, to heal and to provide hope. Music is not a gimmick and it is not a trend. Neither am I. I don’t think that there are many others that can truly say the same and live by that philosophy.” What you think of this soulful rendition of Radiohead’s “Creep?” For more info on Ro James visit: http://www.rojames.com/

You know what charm is? A way of getting the answer ‘Yes’ without having asked any clear question. The Sky Club Welcomes: Yacht Remix

August 24, 2011  |  Add New Contact, By Appointment Only, Leadership & Heroic Flutes, The Traveling Sky Club

From the bodies of water behind the hustle and the drain bustle of New York come the healing weekends on the Lake. Cocktail Cove we call it. And if you’re wild you might take a ride with Albert on his sexy speed boat. He’s a manic and that’s nothing to him. So I held on tight and left my drink on the boat. I like the view from the place, centered lake, can we take this ride slow? He said, “no.” Just to kick it is a blessing. A perfect cross fade into the week and a slide for homebase out of summer. The best way to open your mind is to apply a jolt of unfamiliarity. Build time for wandering into any trip and watch what happens. The next well calculated gem will appear soon.
