Oprah Winfrey for The November Issue Of Harpers Bazaar

October 14, 2012  |  A Big Deal, Editor's Picks, Individual Spotlight, Kodak Moment, Leadership & Heroic Flutes, The Influentials

Oprah is featured in the November Issue of Harpers Bazaar, on newsstands October 23. Photographs by Terry Richardson.

On her decision to start OWN:

“This is the deal, when you have reached the peak of the mountaintop, which is where I was with the Oprah show, you have absolutely no worries. I’d been in the right space at the right time, and I’d done that the best way possible for 25 years. But you have two choices: you can come down from the mountain and spend the rest of your days thinking it was so beautiful there or you can create a vision, look upward, see the next mountain, and start the climb all over” via HB

LB Showroom Flr: Beyonce Releases “Party” Video

October 27, 2011  |  A Big Deal, Editor's Picks, Invested Listener, Musicology, Stuntastic Moments

Details: Just in time for the holidays, finally! It’s been years (I’m being dramatic) for this video to be released, and it’s here. Now as “Party” seems to be a fan favorite, I’m sure you all can relate to the videos treatment; house party. Oh stop being bougee, I think trailer parks are the new gated homes. Everyone at the LateBoots office scrambled in front of their desk to enjoy it. And we did. I love the homemaker Houston, Texas baby Bey. The video features J.Cole, Solange, Kelly Rowland, Shaun Ross, Coco & Breezy and alot of the NYC party culture–most of them I know, (you’ve seen them on here). Have fun with it!

Oh, a Kanye West cameo would have been like Thanksgiving in October.

I Call Them My Sons & Daughters

Gather ’round children, zip it, listen! I never knew how misguided our youth was–so they called me in like Mary Poppins; I’m in the Atlanta Public School System encouraging kids in a Gazzarrini suit.
